Bio:
Julie was introduced into the dog world at the age of 18 months by her parents in England, where they purchased their first poodle. This would be the foundation for Ardynas kennels.Growing up Julie learned to groom and handle show dogs, with guidance from her parents and sister. This would turn out to be the beginning of her career. When they emigrated to the United States in 1974, Julie became a successful Professional Handler and breeder. Finishing over 250 Champions in 10 different breeds. With the passing of her mother, Julie took a 7 year break from handling dogs. Regrouping her priorities with the help of her sister Liz Paul, Julie entered the world of competitive grooming where she soon became a multiple “Best in Show” and “Best all around Groomer” winner. She was on GroomTeam USA from 1996 to 2004 consecutively. In 2000, Julie was ranked #1 on GroomTeam with the highest amount of points 124, in the fewest shows 7. This record still stands. She represented the United States 3 times in competition, helping to bring home 2 Gold’s and 1 Silver. She retired with winning the Oster World Invitational in 2006. Julie has since gone on to enjoy judging and mentoring, here and overseas. She is an NDGAA Certifier, and is a presenter on the Jarden Animal Solutions/NDGAA Ultimate Grooming Tour. She also enjoys a successful mobile grooming business in Brevard County, Florida. Julie specializes in Poodles, Lakeland Terriers, Bichons and Brussels Griffons. Julie’s high points in her career were winning The Intergroom International Groomer of the Year in 2002, and The Oster World Invitational in 2006. Finishing her many Champions.
