Become an IJA Certified Professional

Certification Membership is available to individuals seeking to be a part of the IJA community of industry pet care professionals and to participate in various levels of certification offered by IJA to document their knowledge and their technical skills as a professional groomer.

The IJA System will offer 4 phases of certification. Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 are offered online. Phase 4 is offered onsite and is the practical skills portion of the certification.

Sign up now for Phase 1 to start your certification process and receive your first IJA Pet Care Specialist Certificate. The certificate is the first requirement established by IJA to set an international standard for individuals working with Man's Best Friend.

IJA Accepts Credit for Previous Certifications. If you are certifying or have completed a certification process with a different association, IJA will give you credit.
