Oath of an IJA Member
"I accept the position of an IJA Certified Member and in doing so will represent the art of bathing, grooming and styling with professionalism and dignity at all times.
I acknowledge that the continued success of the IJA depends upon my knowledge, skill and capacity for professionalism, consistency and unity and so agree to adopt the standards, policies and procedures of the IJA, in method, instruction and practice.
In addition I promise to:
Conduct my role as an IJA Certified Member with integrity and dignity, regarding people and dogs with courtesy, respect, patience and compassion.
Forward the IJA goal of setting the standard in dog bathing, grooming and styling.
Uphold the IJA standard in presentation by modeling a professional image at all times.
Provide mentorship and support for the novice IJA Certified Members.
Practice gentle handling techniques with people and dogs.
To maintain my position as an IJA Certified Member, I must maintain my professionalism at all time."
New members must take the Oath of an IJA Certified Member after acceptance.
